When Marketing Goes Viral, it Lives!

Two years after we announced the Marqui Paybloggers program to the world, the innovative marketing idea still gets mentioned. I was tickled to get this Google alert for Marqui yesterday, and to read the article in the San Jose Mercury News.

As I’ve mentioned many times before, the thing we did right in our program was to require disclosure on every single post. And we published every post - positive and negative - for every single blogger we paid.

I’ve moved on from Marqui - but I’ll always be extremely proud of the marketing I did there. And thanks to the viral nature of the web, I continue to get random reminders of that work, delivered right to my inbox.
