Cool New Prospecting Tool

I’ve been doing some work for several clients in trying to find the right person in the company to have their salespeople contact. It’s marketing, it’s cold-calling, it’s an art to make it through the receptionist gate, the assistant gate, the IVR gate… I found yesterday a very cool prospecting tool called DemandBase, part of the SalesForce AppExchange program. I really love the idea of being able to find just 100 highly relevant, highly targeted names to test with a crackerjack sales team. According to David Alfonso, DemandBase salesperson:

It’s like iTunes for leads…

-     You acquire complete ownership for all leads you purchase (you can use the list over and over)-     We will refund any contact that comes back as “undeliverable”-     There’s no minimums or subscriptions to buy (you can buy 1 lead or 100,000)-     You will receive the quickest turnaround and “best in class” customer service-     You will never have to worry about duplicate contacts

I am testing the customer service portion of DemandBase now - the username and password they sent over yesterday don’t seem to work for me… so will update with the particulars there.

Watching a coyote grow up in Wyoming…

Here’s a perfect, delightful reason to learn about RSS - so you won’t miss a moment of this chronicle: download Attensa’s free RSS reader today and get a daily photo and story from The Daily Coyote delivered right to your mailbox. It seems Shreve Stockton was riding her Vespa from San Francisco to New York, stopped for a moment in Wyoming and fell in love with the place. She made it to NY, but a month later pulled up the stops and moved to Wyoming. I’m not sure how long it took, but a tiny 10 week old coyote showed up on her doorstep one day, and she took him in. She’s taking a photo every day and posting them to her Coyote blog.  I promise you, everyone can use a little Charlie every day - a momentary pause to look at well crafted photos from Shreve Stockton just might make each of us a little more humane…
